Inoo stares blankly at the scenery he sees from the balcony. He's waiting for someone to come. Someone who matters. While he's in the middle of waiting, his mind wandered to memories from 8 years ago.

"Hello, i'm Nakajima Yuto. Nice to meet you all."

Inoo was glued to his place from what he saw in front of him. Standing in front of him was a younger boy, shorter as well, wearing a grey t-shirt and cargo pants that seem to be too big for him. Inoo's group has been restructured, so there will be 10 members who will be divided per 5 to be in sub groups called Hey Say BEST and Hey Say 7. As well known, 7 consists of the younger members and BEST consists of the older members.

Inoo had mixed up feelings about it. He knew Nakajima Yuto before they were put in one group. He saw Nakajima practicing with the other juniors, and since then he never left his sight from smaller boy.

Now they are older but he never had a chance to approach Yuto. It’s not Yuto's fault, because they happened to live in separated worlds. Even though they live and work as one group, what you see in TV is not the same as they experience it from behind the scenes.

Inoo desperately learns the new coreography. The dance seems hard for him to follow so he decides to force himself extra hours of learning so he doesn’t harvest any scold from their strict trainer. "Ah this is bad..."

Inoo put a hold on the blasting music with his sweaty finger.

"I can teach you if you want to..." says someone behind Inoo's back.

Inoo gasps and almost drops his tape.

Inoo never even dreamed that he will learn a new coreo with his favourite younger brother in JUMP.

"Let’s start with the refrain first because it contains hard movements and pattern. If you’re done learning this, the rest shouldn’t be a problem for you."

"Ah I hope so." Inoo says.

Yuto turns the music on again and when the music blasts, Yuto patiently teaches Inoo step by step so that Inoo will be far from trouble tommorow.

Inoo for once feels happy about himself. If he didn’t come to the practice room and stay inside it until 9 pm, he would never had a chance to be with Yuto now.

"Thank you, I get it now. Yuto, you are good at teaching the dance moves."

"You think it's free?"

"Eeeh?"

"Joking Inoo-chan! Buy me a drink sometimes, okay?"

Inoo cracks a laugh and offers his hand towards Yuto. "Deal."

Inoo think their short moment came to an end after that day. But he was wrong again...

Ever since then, not having Yuto around seems to be unbearable. Whenever Inoo doesn’t see Yuto in sight, he will ask the others member where the latter is and vice versa. Yuto grows taller, but Inoo stopped at 170cm. The height gap is often being used by the younger to grab and hug the older. They need each other but yet they didn’t want to admit it to themselves. It’s like they are trying to remove the fact that something is starting to blossom between them, something they never expected to be there.

"Inoo-chan?"

"Ah Yutti! You came!"

"It’s only 6 of us here?"

"Yep. The rest still have activities scheduled and Yama-chan and Yuri said we should get here in advance and let the other catch up later, or we will never be able to experience spending summer here."

"Ah I see." Yuto scratches the back of his head. Inoo could see the sun shining on his hand, making the younger one look like a porcelain statue. Suddenly, they hear a faint voice of argument. When they looked down they see a couple - Yamada and Chinen - debating over something.

"They are so cute. They actually love each other but don't want to admit it to themselves."

"I have an idea,” Yuto says

"What?"

"We shall become their matchmakers. What do you think?"

"But what if we fail? What if we make them grow to hate each other?"

"That won’t happen."

"How can you be so sure?"

"We're JUMP and we all love each other..." Yuto gives a wink to Inoo, who feels how his heart skips a beat at the moment.

Inoo blushed even more when he saw Yuto’s smiling at him.

"So what are we gonna do about them? What’s the plan?" Inoo tries his best to distract himself from the scenery in front of him.

“Maybe we should send them both presents and say that it’s from the other one.”

"Wouldn't they find out soon that the present’s not from each other?"

"Then we should search something that fits them well. Like a special mirror for narcissist like Yamada and maybe a doll for Chinen. He likes sleeping with dolls nowadays,” Yuto explains.
Inoo nods. "Shall we search for it then?"

Now they are in Omotesando, entering a mall that Yuto usually goes to. Once they reach the mall they search for a fancy shop that provides them with what they need.

"This would look cool on Yamada, right?" Yuto asks Inoo. Yuto advised giving Yamada a book-shaped mirror. And Inoo found a doll that will probably suit Chinen for a company while he is sleeping.


They enter the house and separate. Yuto goes to Chinen’s room and Inoo goes to Yamada's. They sneak in and leave the presents on their beds. Not so long after they hear someone shrieking from Yamada's room. The blonde guy rushes from his room and bursts into Chinen's room.

From outside they can hear Yamada scolding Chinen.

"Why did you give me a broken mirror? You want something bad to happen to me?"

The group knows how much their prince is a superstitious person, so this kind of thing surely makes him angry. Neither Yuto nor Inoo knew though that the mirror they bought was broken. They gasp in unison. "What should we do?"

They hear Chinen screaming back at Yamada "You know exactly how to insult me, Yama-chan! You gave me this doll to remind me that I'm so tiny and my front teeth are squirrel-like right?"

Inoo shakes his head in disbelief. He hopes Yabu will come back soon and calm the boys down. Yuto and Inoo both know it’s their own fault, but it’s Yabu's special ability to calm these two down.

Yuto rests his back against the balcony. Inoo does the same next to him.

"Here. I found this when we searched for the presents for Yamachii."

"What is this?"

Inoo opens the small box in his hand and finds a necklace with star shape on it.

"Oh my Yuto..."

"Please shine brighter than the stars, Inoo..." Inoo hopes deep down that this is not some kind of joke or a gesture out of friendship - like on the stage during concerts.

"What about Yama-chan and Chinen?"

"Don’t worry. They are probably reconciling by now."

"Should we tell them we did this?”

"No... I have a better plan. Last one. If it won’t succeed then we will reveal the secret," Yuto says confidently.

"What is it?"

"Here...." Yuto leans his head against Inoo’s and whispers his idea into his ear.

"How's the preparations?"

Inoo asked that question a few times already. After the accident with the presents he became more careful. He put aside his random trait because he doesn’t want to make another relationship go worse, they are teammates after all. Any fight will affect the team’s performance.

"Great. We just wait for them to come and let them meet. For the rest we will leave it up to them. Pray for the best then..." Yuto fixes his blazer and black turtle neck shirt, which makes him look more mature and so damn hot.

"Atchuuuu..."

"Are you okay, Kei?"

"I’m okay, just forget my mittens."

"Use mine than."

"No, I can’t. You need these hands to beat the drums for the practice tomorrow."

"If that's the case..." Yuto takes Inoo's hand and puts it into his pocket.

"But, but....."

"Shhh! Yamada is coming."

"As expected from him. Where is Chinen?" Inoo glances towards many directions until he finally finds a familiar person behind a group of people in front of him.

"They're coming..."

"I just texted Chinen to come to this spot and told Yamada to wait."


It wasn’t long until Chinen arrives at the expected spot. "Yama-chan? What are you doing here?"

"Waiting for Yuto."

"Eh? Me too."

Yamada’s phone beeps and he sees another message from Yuto.

"'Enjoy your night' he says. What does he mean by that? It’s not like he’s setting us up right?" Yamada mumbles. Even though he's saying that there's clear hope and expectation in his voice.

"Of course not. Why should I be paired up with you?"

"Ah why are they so dense about it?" Yuto hisses behind the bushes, the place they're hiding.

Inoo’s face is unreadable when suddenly the two lovebirds start to fight. Again. They both are a tsundere couple for sure, so it takes such a hard time making them reveal how they really feel towards each other.

Inoo jumps out from his place and shouts out loud, loud enough to make his two friends jump in shock. "Cut it out you two! Could you.... Could you just... For once in your life be honest to each other? I'm sick of seeing you fight when you know you actually missed each other when the other was not around? Just tell Chinen you love him, Yamada!"

They stay in silence for a moment until Chinen speaks. "What about you, Inoo? You like Yuto, right? Did you already tell him?"

"What?" Yuto and Inoo spoke in unison.

"N....no! I mean..." What the hell? How did it happen that he was the one getting scolded?


Inoo turns around and starts to run. Yuto calls his name and runs to catch the older one. Yuto manages to get a grip of Inoo's slender wrist and they stopp like that for a moment. They both catch their breath. "Is it true?”

Inoo stays in silence. The grip on his wrist is strong enough to keep him from running again.

"I was confused and didn’t know how to say it. I guess I’m just the same as Yamada and Chinen."

Hard to say I love you.

"I guess we both are." Yuto turns Inoo’s body to face him properly before he bends down and kisses Inoo’s pink plump lips.

"I love you."

"Me too..."

For a while they just stay like that, hugging each other, until Inoo remembers something.

"What about the other two?"

Yuto checks his phone, opening a message from Yamada, and smiles. He shows Inoo a picture of their two friends kissing.

"We did it!"

"Maybe we should arrange a double date?"

"Maybe..."

And they kiss again.
