Summary: Jin gets soaked out in the rain and needs Kazuya’s help to dry off. But things are never so simple.
Notes: I really enjoyed writing this fic, so I hope that you enjoy reading it too
The library was almost completely silent, all that could be heard were hushed voices and pages turning, and Jin couldn’t help but smile as he watched Kazuya. The boy had his nose buried in his textbook and he seemed to have completely forgotten that Jin was there, he was far too busy reading and scribbling down notes. Jin didn’t mind though. He’d been friends with Kazuya for a little over a year now, and over that time he’d learnt not to take it personally when Kazuya ignored him to study. Besides, Jin would hardly class it as being ignored, it was more a case of Kazuya becoming engrossed with his work and not realising that when Jin asked him to join him for a study date, the emphasis was meant to be on the date part.
“I thought you wanted to study,” Kazuya said quietly. He didn’t even look up from his notes, he just kept writing and did his best to keep the smile off his face. Sure, at first he hadn’t realised that Jin was staring at him, but he’d noticed it a few minutes ago and he’d been waiting for the other man to say or do something. When Jin hadn’t, Kazuya had decided to take the initiative, “I don’t think that you’re studying me on your course.”
“I asked you on a study date,” Jin replied matter-of-factly, a pout pulling at his lips as his arms folded over his chest, “Figured that meant maybe about half an hour of study and then hours of date. But we’ve already been here for,” he glanced down at his watch, “Like two hours, and you’ve barely said a word.”
Kazuya chuckled and rolled his eyes as he closed his notebook. He started tidying away his things, putting his books and his pens back in his back, leaving out one book that he needed to check out, “You should know by now that you have to make it clear it’s an actual date. We’ve been dating for two months already and this is at least the sixth time you’ve tried this trick. It never works.”
“Well I asked if you wanted to go out on a date and you said that you had to study for an exam, so I thought that a study date was the only way to lure you out,” Jin said, smiling innocently at Kazuya before grabbing the boy’s bag for him. He tossed it over his shoulder and took hold of Kazuya’s hand once he was standing up as well, “I thought that the fact that I didn’t bring my bag with me would’ve been a clue that I wanted an actual date.”
“Seeing as I just had two hours of studying, I guess I could be persuaded go on a date now,” Kazuya replied with a grin, leaning up to kiss Jin’s cheek, “Thanks for carrying my bag.”
Jin chuckled, holding Kazuya’s hand a little tighter as he shifted the boy’s bag on his shoulder. It was a lot heavier than he’d expected, he really should’ve realised how heavy it would be, given the amount of books that Kazuya carried around with him on a daily basis.
“I think of it as one of my duties as your big strong boyfriend,” he said proudly, “Your big strong super sexy boyfriend.”
A soft laugh escaped Kazuya’s lips and he poked Jin’s arm, “My big strong super sexy and super modest boyfriend.”
“Well, modesty is my middle name,” Jin replied with a nod, grinning at Kazuya as they walked towards the checkout desk. Luckily there wasn’t much of a line; just a few people were standing at the desk, so they should be able to leave pretty soon. With Kazuya’s exams starting on Monday, Jin wanted to make the most of their time together before that started because he knew that he wouldn’t see much of Kazuya until his exams were over. So he was going to have to go for nearly two whole weeks without actually seeing his boyfriend – sure, he had his own exams, but that was neither here nor there. Jin didn’t study as obsessively as Kazuya did, so he’d actually have some free time on his hands…free time that he wouldn’t be able to spend with Kazuya.
“Jin,” Kazuya began as he let go of Jin’s hand and opened the book he was carrying and started to flick through the pages, “You don’t have a middle name.”
When he noticed that the line had moved, he took a few steps forward. He sighed as he closed the book and started rooting through his pocket to try and find his library card. A moment later, he looked at Jin and pouted, “Can I put it on your library card? I left mine at home and I really need this book so I can study.”
“You’d forget your head if it wasn’t screwed on,” Jin said, doing his best to sound grumpy and to stop himself from laughing. He pulled his library card out of his pocket and held his hand out to Kazuya, “Gimme the book then.”
Kazuya grinned and handed the book to Jin, “Thank you, I owe you one.”
“Damn right you do,” Jin chuckled, pressing a kiss to Kazuya’s forehead before heading to the desk to check out the book. The receptionist looked more than a little confused when Jin handed over an astronomy book – which made sense, seeing as all the books that Jin had checked out before had been books related to pharmaceutical sciences.
Seeing as it was against the university’s rules to use someone else’s library card to take out a book, or to take out a book for someone else, Jin hurried to say, “My boyfriend studies astronomy, I’m just trying to learn what the hell he’s talking about.”
The woman shrugged a little and placed Jin’s library card on top of the book before handing them both over to him, “Here. Bring it back within the next two weeks, otherwise you’ll have to pay a fine.”
Jin chuckled nervously – obviously the woman had seen his awful track record with returning books on time. He shoved his card into his pocket and grabbed Kazuya’s hand to lead the boy towards the exit. As soon as they were out of the door, Jin put the book in Kazuya’s bag and heaved a sigh of relief.
“Wanna go for ramen?” Kazuya asked, giving Jin’s hand a slight squeeze, “My treat – and I’ll take you for ice cream too. Think of it as an apology for not understanding the ‘study date’ thing, and a thank you for facing the scary receptionist.”
“That sounds absolutely perfect,” Jin replied happily. He pulled on Kazuya’s hand to bring the other boy closer to him, wrapping his arm around Kazuya’s waist as soon as he was close enough. Hopefully he’d be able to lure Kazuya to his flat that evening so that they could watch movies and cuddle, that would make the day perfect.
~
Spending two weeks barely being able to even speak to Kazuya had given Jin plenty of time to come up with all sorts of crazy ideas. There had been one night that he’d planned to go over to Kazuya’s building and serenade him – sure, he might’ve been a little drunk when he came up with that idea, but he still thought it was a good idea. Luckily for Kazuya, Ryo hadn’t been as drunk as Jin and had managed to stop him from even leaving their flat. Though, that had mostly been for Pi’s sake – seeing as Ryo hadn’t wanted Jin waking up his boyfriend, who just so happened to be one of Kazuya’s roommates.
But, after the two weeks of stupid ideas that would never work – and that would definitely never impress Kazuya – Jin came up with the perfect plan. It was a stroke of genius, even if he did say so himself.
Jin spent the morning lazing around in bed, only bothering to move at around eleven so that he could send Kazuya a message wishing him luck with his exam. He knew that he wouldn’t get a reply, seeing as Kazuya’s phone would probably already be off, but Jin liked to send these messages so that when Kazuya saw them later on, he’d know that Jin had been thinking of him. Plus, it normally meant that Kazuya would call him once he came out of his exam, and Jin was always happy to hear Kazuya’s voice.
It took him another hour after that to decide that he wasn’t going to sleep anymore and that he should get out of bed. And then another half an hour to actually get up. He knew that he was running to a strict schedule, but getting out of bed was so damn hard – honestly, he didn’t understand how anyone was okay with getting up before midday. What made matters worse was that he seemed to be surrounded by morning people – he lived with two of them, so most days either Ryo or Koki woke Jin up by singing in the shower at around eight, and then he was dating one, so he didn’t get peace even if he spent the night at Kazuya’s flat. It was like the universe was conspiring to come between him and his sleep and he definitely didn’t approve of that one bit.
After finally getting out of his bed at one in the afternoon, Jin quickly showered and got dressed. He still had some time to get himself organised to carry out his plan, seeing as Kazuya’s first exam finished at the same time that Jin had gotten up. There was an hour until Kazuya’s next exam, which Jin imagined his boyfriend would be spending the library, and then his exam was three hours long. So Jin had until about half past five to get ready and get to Kazuya’s flat. He wanted to give Kazuya some time to get home and get settled before he showed up, just so that the boy would think that Jin wasn’t actually going to do anything. Sure, they’d arranged to go out for dinner tomorrow evening, but Kazuya didn’t need to know that Jin had something hidden up his sleeve. After all, if Kazuya knew about it, then it wouldn’t be a surprise.
Jin headed into the lounge to grab his keys off the coffee table, only to be met by the judging gazes of his roommates. He laughed awkwardly and grabbed his keys, “Just heading out.”
“So you finally managed to drag yourself out of your pit,” Ryo observed as he leaned back in his seat and narrowed his eyes, “If you were trying to avoid your turn cleaning, you’re not gonna get away with it. You can do it when you get back.”
“But I’m not gonna have time!” Jin whined, trying to tug his jacket off the back of the couch, but it was proving easier said than done because Koki had decided to lean against it, “I’m doing my special surprise for Kazuya tonight!”
Koki grimaced and looked over his shoulder at Jin, “Please tell me that’s not some kind of euphemism for a sexy dance or your dick.”
“No!” Jin cried, “Oh my God, what the hell?! It’s literally just a nice surprise for my boyfriend, nothing sexual about it. Well, not unless he wants to… Wait, pretend I didn’t say that, otherwise you’ll,” he pointed at Ryo, “Tell Pi and then he’ll tell Kazuya and then I’ll get in trouble again. I’m not meant to talk about our sex life.”
Ryo gasped in offence, placing his hand on his chest, “I would never. I have better things to do when I see my boyfriend than talk about whether or not you and Kame are gonna bang. Please, the world doesn’t revolve around you two.”
“I don’t have anything better to do than get you in trouble,” Koki pointed out, “So, you’d better do your cleaning, or I’m gonna tell Kame about all the stuff you’ve told me. We clear, Bakanishi?”
Jin nodded quickly, “Yup, promise. But is it okay if I do it tomorrow? I wanna spoil Kazuya to reward him for finishing his exams and studying so hard lately.”
Koki looked over at Ryo, who simply shrugged at him. He sighed and looked back at Jin, “Yeah, fine. But just because it’s for Kame, otherwise I’d be hitting you with the broom.”
“I know you would,” Jin grumbled as he finally managed to pull his jacket free. He pouted as he put it on and headed off towards the freezer to check on the ice cream that he’d bought the day before. He’d bought a tub of Kazuya’s favourite, planning on taking it with him tonight as part of his surprise for the boy. But, when he searched through his drawer in the freezer, he couldn’t see it anywhere.
He turned around and glared at his roommates, “Which one of you two ate my ice cream?”
Ryo and Koki hurried to point at each other. Koki was honestly telling the truth, and Ryo just didn’t want Jin to yell at him for eating his food without permission. Again. If there was one thing that scared Ryo, it was Jin when someone had eaten his food. After all, good was very important to Jin, and he didn’t like to share. Hell, it was a miracle when Jin agreed to let Kazuya share his food – but Jin did seem to have one set of rules for Kazuya and another for everyone else.
“You,” Jin hissed, pointing at Ryo as he slammed the freezer shut, “Of course it was you. Can you just eat your own fucking food for once?!”
“I did eat my own food!” Ryo cried as he scrambled onto his feet and darted out of the room, calling over his shoulder, “And I thought, ‘wow, y’know what’d make this even better? Ice cream’, I figured you wouldn’t mind!”
“Of course I fucking mind!” Jin yelled, hurrying to follow Ryo to try and catch him before he managed to lock himself in his room. He groaned when he heard Ryo’s door slam shut, the lock clicking a second later, “You owe me! That was for Kazuya and now I have to go and buy more! You suck! I’m gonna tell Pi that you were the one who ate his cupcake, I’m not taking the blame for that anymore!”
“Fine, do it!” Ryo shot back through the door, “I’ll just tell him how pretty his eyes are and he’ll forgive me! Besides, I’ll pay you back, okay?! I’ll pay you back for both tubs of ice cream, I swear!”
Jin grinned and patted Ryo’s bedroom door, “Awesome – I’ll come and collect my money tomorrow. Have a nice night Nishikido.”
As he headed out of the flat, Jin could hear Ryo wailing something about Jin had planned the whole thing to squeeze cash out of him. Jin didn’t bother replying – if he didn’t admit to it, then it couldn’t be held against him. After all, Jin hadn’t actually said it himself, so he couldn’t be held accountable for that.
Jin hummed happily as he walked down the corridor, already starting to think about what he could spend the money on. Sure, it wasn’t going to be a lot, but he wanted to get something that would piss Ryo off. It would make his revenge even sweeter.
~
Despite all of Jin’s excellent planning, there was one thing he’d forgotten to do before he left his flat to go over to Kazuya’s place. He’d forgotten to check the weather forecast, and now he was caught out in a downpour without anything to keep him dry. His jacket wasn’t doing a great job of stopping the water from soaking through his shirt. Hopefully Kazuya would find it romantic that Jin had walked through the rain for him. Though, knowing Kazuya, he would probably tell Jin off instead, telling him that he shouldn’t have done it and that he’d get sick.
Jin sighed heavily – it was so nice to be appreciated. Not. Of course he, a hopeless romantic, had ended up falling for a guy who wouldn’t know romance if he was hit over the head with it. Though, Jin was pretty damn sure that if Kazuya was going to be tested on it, he’d learn how to be romantic very quickly. Maybe that should be his next plan? He’d definitely appreciate a little romance from his boyfriend every once in a while.
As soon as Kazuya’s building came into view, Jin picked up the pace. It was almost as if seeing his destination had given him a new burst of energy and was pushing him closer and closer towards it. Sure, Jin had been hoping to sweep Kazuya off his feet and that probably wouldn’t quite work out considering the fact that Jin probably looked like a drowned rat now, but he knew that his boyfriend would still appreciate the thought that had gone into Jin’s plan for him.
Once Jin reached the doors, he quickly punched in the entrance code – Kazuya had told him the code when he’d moved into the building at the start of his second year. The doors had barely been unlocked for a second before Jin flung them open and all but dived inside. The warmth of the building enveloped him, and Jin couldn’t help but stop for a moment, closing his eyes as he basked in the warmth that was creeping throughout his body. A small part of him had been convinced that he was going to get frostbite on his way to Kazuya’s and end up losing his little finger or something. And Jin was quite attached to his fingers – literally.
After letting himself warm up for a minute, Jin looked at the stairs and groaned. Sometimes he forgot that Kazuya’s flat was on the sixth floor and that his boyfriend’s building didn’t have an elevator like his building did.
“You can do this,” Jin murmured to himself, taking a deep breath before striding over to the stairs. He grimaced when he heard the wet squeak of the rubber soles of his shoes against the linoleum floor. It was one of Jin’s least favourite noises, and he winced every single time he heard it.
It felt like it had taken an hour to get up all of the stairs – even though it had only taken ten minutes – and Jin was just about ready to collapse by the time he got to the sixth floor. Luckily for him, Kazuya’s flat was one of the first ones in the hallway. Jin managed to drag himself over to the door, falling against it instead of knocking. Surely someone would hear the rather loud thud and come to investigate. If not, he would die out in the corridor; that seemed like a very legitimate option in that moment.
A moment later, the door opened and Jin nearly toppled over forwards. He hadn’t expected someone to come to the door so quickly, so he hadn’t been quite ready for that yet.
“Jin?” Kazuya asked, a little confused by their current situation. He reached out to grab Jin’s shoulders, helping him to keep his footing, and frowned when he felt how damp the older man’s clothes were, “You’re soaking wet! What’re you doing?! You’re gonna catch a cold!”
“Surprise,” Jin chuckled weakly as he smiled pathetically at Kazuya, “I brought ice cream and Harry Potter and cheesy rom-coms and sappy romance movies and horror movies, I didn’t know what you’d wanna watch.”
Kazuya sighed but smiled back at Jin, leading his boyfriend inside the flat, “I don’t know what all of this is aid of, but thank you. I wish you’d brought an umbrella or something though, I don’t want you to get sick.”
“I’ll be fine,” Jin replied dismissively, “At least the ice cream won’t have melted – it was so cold out there that I think my balls have turned into ice cubes.”
“Thanks for that mental image,” Kazuya chuckled as he guided Jin to his bedroom, “Okay, so, we’re gonna get you out of those wet clothes a-”
“I can’t have sex, my balls are ice cubes, I just told you,” Jin interrupted matter-of-factly.
Kazuya rolled his eyes, choosing to ignore that comment and continue with what he’d been saying, “We’ll get you outta those clothes, I’ll put them over the radiator to dry out and you can curl up in a blanket while I dry your hair and then you can borrow some of my clothes. Probably have to be my gym clothes, everything else I own would be too small for you.”
“Can I use your special blanket?” Jin asked hopefully, his eyes lighting up at the thought of snuggling up in Kazuya’s thick blanket. It was the only blanket that Kazuya never let anyone else use, and no-one knew why. All Jin knew about it was that it looked super comfy, and there had been times that Kazuya had been curled up in it while they snuggled on the couch and it was one of the softest things Jin had ever touched in his entire life.
“Fine, you can use my special blanket,” Kazuya replied, “Take off your clothes. Wait, are your boxers wet too?”
Jin shook his head, “They’re about the only thing that’s still dry.” He held up the bag he was carrying before he asked, “What about the ice cream?”
“You take off your clothes, I’ll give you the blanket and then put the ice cream in the freezer before I go and get my hairdryer back out of Tatsuya’s room,” Kazuya said as he went over to his wardrobe and opened it to fetch his blanket from the shelf at the top.
“Okay,” Jin chirped, quickly stripping down to his boxers. He stared at Kazuya, waiting for the blanket eagerly.
When Kazuya wrapped the thick green blanket around him, Jin hummed happily and closed his eyes as he flopped onto the boy’s bed. Being curled up in Kazuya’s blanket felt just as good as Jin had thought it would, and he never wanted to get out of it. Not only was it soft and warm, it smelt like Kazuya too. Jin felt like he could fall asleep at any moment – but he wasn’t going to, because Kazuya was going to dry his hair and let him wear his clothes and then they would snuggle and watch movies. His plan had worked out far better than he’d expected.
Or so he thought.
~
Once Jin was dried off and had changed into the clothes that Kazuya had found for him, he and Kazuya had climbed into the younger boy’s bed. Kazuya had placed his laptop over their laps and they’d cuddled up to watch the DVDs on there. Neither of them had wanted to go to the lounge after the commotion they’d been through because of Jin getting soaked through. Besides, Jin was all for cuddling in bed, it was more romantic and it was cosy and he felt like he and Kazuya were in their own little world. Nothing could ruin that.
Jin frowned slightly when his skin started to tingle. It felt like he was being stabbed with white hot needles all over his body, and God it was itching. It itched so much that it hurt, and all Jin wanted to do was scratch at his skin until the feeling went away. He didn’t want to say anything to Kazuya, not with the way he was curled up against Jin, his fingers trailing up and down Jin’s abdomen absentmindedly. If it wasn’t for this damn itching, Jin would feel so serene, just lying there with Kazuya like that.
He glanced over at his boyfriend, and when he saw that Kazuya seemed to be engrossed in the movie, Jin slipped his free hand under the blankets so that he could scratch his thigh. It wasn’t much, but it was helping to ease the burning. Until he stopped. As soon as he noticed that, he started to scratch again, trying to keep the movement to a minimum so that Kazuya wouldn’t notice.
“Are you jerking off to PS I Love You?” Kazuya asked as he turned his head to look at Jin, arching an eyebrow as he did, “Because that’s really weird and kinda gross. I’m gonna go and hide out in Pi’s room if you are.”
Jin pouted at Kazuya, continuing to scratch his thigh, “I’m not jerking off, I just have an itchy leg. I’m itchy all over. And warm. Can we take a blanket off?”
“Jin, it’s freezing,” Kazuya whined, his hand moving up to Jin’s forehead, “But you are warm… I knew you’d catch a cold. Shit, I should’ve gotten you dry and warmed up sooner. Let’s put the movie off, you need to rest.”
“I don’t have a cold,” Jin replied simply as he began to scratch his stomach instead, grimacing a little as he continued, “Ugh, it’s so itchy.” His hand stopped moving and he leaned back slightly, only to lurch forwards again as he sneezed. He thought he was about to sneeze again, but it turned out that it was a cough this time, “I think I’m allergic to your clothes.”
“How can you be allergic to my clothes?” Kazuya asked as he moved the laptop down to the foot of the bed so that he could get up. Once he was on his feet, he grabbed Jin’s arm to try and pull him out of the bed, “If you’re allergic, we need to get them off you.”
“Don’t wanna!” Jin wailed childishly, “They’re warm and they smell like you!”
Kazuya tugged at Jin’s arm a little harder, putting more effort into trying to get him up, “I don’t want your reaction getting worse! So get up!”
“I’ll be fine! I’ll just be itchy and warm and sneeze and cough sometimes, but it’s fine!” Jin insisted. He deliberately made himself as heavy as possible to stop Kazuya from moving him, muttering under his breath, “This is not how I imagined I was going to get naked tonight…”
“Jin, you have until the count of five to get up, or I swear to God I’m going to hit you with my pillow until you do,” Kazuya threatened, narrowing his eyes at the older boy as he started to count, “Five… Four… Three…”
Jin looked up at Kazuya and quickly realised that the boy was being entirely serious, which scared him enough to get him to scramble off the bed. He quickly pulled the shirt off over his head and tossed it across the room, “Please don’t hurt me!”
Kazuya snorted and rolled his eyes, “I’m not gonna…” He trailed off when he saw how red Jin’s upper body was, and he gently touched Jin’s chest as he breathed, “Oh my God. Why didn’t you say something sooner?! Take off the sweatpants and we’ll find something else for you to wear, okay?”
“Okay,” Jin replied, obediently taking off the sweatpants like Kazuya had asked. He whined and started scratching at his chest, “I think I’m allergic to your fabric softener or detergent or something. God, it itches so much, ugh, it feels like my skin’s on fire.”
“So you can’t use any of my clothes,” Kazuya murmured as he looked around, trying to figure out what to do, “Oh! What about Ryo’s stuff, are you okay with that?”
“Yeah, we all use the same stuff to wash our clothes. But, baby, Ryo’s stuff isn’t here,” Jin pointed out.
Kazuya waved his hand dismissively, “I know, I know, but Pi uses the same stuff as Ryo. I’ll grab some of his clothes for you.” He looked over Jin’s red body again and bit his lip, “Maybe you should go and have a cold shower, see if that helps to stop the itching. I’ll get one of Pi’s towels for you to borrow. And tomorrow, we’re going to the store and you’re helping me pick out new detergent and fabric softener that you’re not allergic to – I don’t want this to happen again.”
“Will you come shower with me?” Jin asked pathetically, pouting at Kazuya, “Tonight was meant to be all romantic and sweet for you and this is the second time I’m ruining it.”
“You haven’t ruined anything,” Kazuya cooed as he cradled Jin’s face in his hands, quickly planting a kiss on Jin’s lips, “In a way, I’m kinda glad it turned out this way. I found out that you’d come through rain for me, and now I know about your allergy. I’ve learned about you, and I want to know everything. I wanna know you better than I know myself, so I’m kinda happy that this has happened.” He chuckled before adding, “But I do wanna get this sorted, so off you go,” he patted Jin’s butt gently, “Go and get in the shower and I’ll bring you a towel.”
Jin nodded and pulled away from Kazuya. He glanced over his shoulder as he headed to the bedroom door, still scratching all over his body without even realising that he was doing it, “You didn’t answer my question about the shower though.”
Kazuya simply smirked at him, “Go get in. You’ll find out my answer soon enough.”
~
“I have a question,” Kazuya said as he and Jin walked down the aisle in the supermarket, looking at the different products for washing clothes, “Are you allergic to all of them?”
Kazuya had suggested at least five different products and Jin had said that he was allergic to each and every one of them. The dwindling range of options was starting to make Kazuya uneasy. All of his favourites had already been eliminated, and now he wasn’t sure which one he should buy instead.
“I’m not allergic to the ones that I use,” Jin replied, grimacing a little when he saw the look on Kazuya’s face, “I don’t know about other ones! I’ve used the same one my whole life, I’ve only had reactions when I’ve come into contact with other people’s stuff and it’s not like I asked everyone what they used on their clothes so that I could make a list.”
“Great,” Kazuya muttered, starting to search for the stuff that Jin used to wash his clothes, “I guess I’ll play it safe and use the same as you. On the bright side, we’re going to smell like each other now.”
Jin chuckled and wrapped an arm around Kazuya’s waist as the boy grabbed a few things off the shelf, “I always like it when you smell like me.”
“I know,” Kazuya replied happily as they walked along, heading to go and pay, “Any other allergies I need to know about?”
Jin hummed as he thought it over, bringing Kazuya a little closer to him, “Pineapple. And oranges. Basically all citrus fruits.”
“You’re taking all of my favourite things away from me,” Kazuya replied with a pout.
“I’m sorry,” Jin said, pouting right back at him, “I can’t help it.”
Kazuya sighed a little, pretending to be annoyed, “I guess I’ll let you away with it, seeing as you’re so pretty.”
“Why thank you,” Jin chuckled as he kissed Kazuya’s temple, “You’re pretty too.”
“I know I am,” Kazuya chirped, “Aren’t you lucky to be with me? I’m pretty and understanding.”
Jin smiled at Kazuya warmly, his eyes full of love and sheer adoration, “Yeah, I’m really damn lucky.”
